BURGAW, N.C. (WECT) – Zara, an approximately 2.5-year-old Labrador retriever mix, is available for adoption from the Pender County Animal Shelter.
According to staff, Zara has been an amazing dog since being brought to the shelter.
She is heartworm positive but has already begun treatment. Additionally, Zara does not get along with cats.
The shelter, located at 3280 New Savannah Road in Burgaw, is open Monday through Friday from 1 to 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
