Additionally, the hotel’s commitment to guests and pets shines with pet-friendly rooms, personalized amenities, and a dedicated menu celebrating its 125-year milestone. Tiago Sarmento, Managing Director of Belmond Southern Africa, expresses enthusiasm about elevating pet-friendly services to new heights this year.

The Nellie’s pet-friendly rooms redefine sophistication, offering a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for both guests and their pets. The Mount Nelson ensures that pets feel as cherished as their human companions with personalised welcome cards, treats on arrival, and a special pet menu for Afternoon Tea.

Luxurious In-Room Amenities:

Guests staying in one of the five ground-floor pet-friendly rooms can expect a range of luxurious amenities for their pets. The design team carefully crafted details, placing bowls on a plush cork mat and creating custom velvet beds by Chommies for a homely feel. Additionally, a refreshing welcome drink of chilled rooibos tea adds an extra touch of comfort.

Cape Town’s oasis invites exploration; guests and furry friends can create lasting memories in its expansive grounds. A pet-friendly concierge tailors every visit to the unique needs of both pets and their owners.

Dining with Your Pooch:

Guests can stylishly dine with their pets as all hotel outlets (except Librisa Spa, Chef’s Table, and The Red Room) are open. Dogs of all sizes, from posh poodles to socialite schnauzers, are welcome, provided they exhibit good etiquette. Each pet-friendly room allows a maximum of two pets, and guests should not leave their pets alone in the room.
