County reduces pet adoption fees | News

In an effort to increase pet adoptions, the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors recently approved funding to reduce adoption fees at the county’s animal adoption shelters.

The cost of adoption is now $10 for cats and $20 for dogs. All pets come spayed or neutered, microchipped and receive most vaccines.

“This initiative is set to make a positive impact on the lives of animals in our shelters looking to find their forever homes,” the county said in a news release on Oct. 6.

For more information about animals available for adoption in the Big Bear and Devore Animal Shelters, visit animalcare.sbcounty.gov/pets or call (800) 472-5609.

To make a donation to assist animals at the shelter, visit arffund.org.
