Discover unconditional love at the 2023 Mega Match-A-Thon pet adoption festival

Get ready for a heartwarming and unforgettable experience as the 2023 Mega Match-A-Thon. The 12-hour pet adoption festival hosted by the Miami-Dade County Animal Services Department (Animal Services), kicks off October 21 at 10 a.m. at the Pet Adoption and Protection Center, located at 3599 NW 79 Avenue, Doral, FL 33122. This extraordinary event promises to be a day filled with furry friends, family fun, and unforgettable moments.

The Mega Match-A-Thon is more than just a pet adoption event – it’s a petextravaganza that unites pet lovers with their future furry family members. With over 700 shelter dogs and cats eagerly waiting for loving homes, this is an opportunity to make a lifelong connection.
All pets available for adoption are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, ensuring their readiness to join your family. This event offers special pricing to make adoption even more accessible:
·    Dogs four months and older: Adoption fees waived. Adopters will only be responsible for the $30 tag fee.
·    Puppies younger than four months: Adoption fee is $85.
·    Kittens younger than four months: Adoption fee is $35.
·    Cats four months and older: Adoption fees waived.

The festival will also feature a variety of vendors, games, and activities suitable for both kids and adults. Highlights include:
·    Food trucks serving up a delicious selection of street food
·    A free kid’s zone with games and pumpkins
·    Free giveaways for adopters (while supplies last)
·    Trick-or-treating stations within the shelter (while supplies last)

Annette Jose, Animal Services Department Director, shared her excitement, saying, “The 2023 Mega Match-A-Thon is a remarkable celebration of the human-animal bond and the heartwarming connections made between our community and shelter pets. As we embark on our 11th year of this extraordinary event, we’re proud to bring it to the Pet Adoption and Protection Center in Doral. The center will be transformed into an enchanting Halloween festival, and our dedicated Animal Services team eagerly awaits this annual tradition. Join us for a day of joy, laughter, and, most importantly, the opportunity to provide forever homes to our beloved pets.”
