His Owners Abandoned Him With A Damaged Eye And Leg, But You Helped Save Him!

When you buy products from the iHeartDogs store, part of that profit goes to Greater Good Charities. Greater Good Charities supports a variety of animal organizations, especially through their GOODS Program, which donates essential supplies like food to shelters and rescues. Hoss is one of the many dogs who have benefitted from these life-changing donations.

Someone dumped Hoss on the streets of Tulsa, OK, while he suffered from a damaged leg and a blind eye. The poor pup was incredibly thin, and he was forced to fend for himself despite being in a lot of pain. Luckily, someone alerted Route 66 Pet Rescue, and their team rushed to save him.

Hoss ended up in a loving foster home where he quickly made himself comfortable. He loves resting in cozy beds and he happily gobbles up his regular meals. He’s house-trained and knows basic commands, so he clearly lived in a home environment before someone abandoned him.

“He knows he is safe and he is enjoying every minute till he is medically released so he can look for a forever home,” Route 66 Pet Rescue wrote.

Long Overdue Medical Care

Hoss’ eye doesn’t look like it can be repaired, but luckily, it doesn’t seem to bother him. After a few days, he underwent a procedure to fix his back leg. He will still have a slight limp, but he will be able to more effectively use his back leg now. He needs some time to recover, but soon he’ll be able to find the forever home of his dreams.

With donations from the GOODS Program, it’s easier for dogs like Hoss to get the medical care they need. They receive food donations and other essential supplies, allowing them to save up more funds for vet care.

“The GOODS Program ensures that we are able to provide Hoss with comfy beds and amazing food to nourish his neglected body,” Route 66 Pet Rescue wrote.

Every time you shop at the iHeartDogs store, you’re helping dogs like Hoss heal and have a better chance at adoption. These donations allow rescues like this one to save more dogs than ever. So, thank you to all the heroes who have bought products to help dogs in need.

The following products provide quality dog food for shelters and rescues, helping them reserve more of their precious funds for medical expenses, supplies, and spreading the word about their adoptable pups. Learn more.
