Santa Claus is meeting with more than just the good human girls and boys this season. Teaming up with PAWS, Santa met with area pets for a special holiday photo shoot at Otto’s Oasis on Saturday, Dec. 2.
A line of furry friends stretched across the garden shop patiently waiting to get a sniff of St. Nick, with a variety of costumes to pick from for their turn in front of the camera.
“It’s been super busy, but we love it,” said PAWS Director Julie Taylor. “It’s a chance for people to get a fun photo.”
The holiday photo shoot is a longstanding tradition for PAWS, with many of the participating pets being adoptees from the animal shelter. Taylor said she enjoys seeing the formerly sheltered animals come out with their families year after year.
“That’s always a highlight for me,” said Taylor.
Collecting freewill donations for the event, funds raised from the Santa visit contribute to vet care and other expenses for the animals at the shelter.
“We appreciate the public support all year,” said Taylor.
