MILLIONS of families are about to sit for turkey, but Petco has warned to have food stocked for your pets.
The American store chain has announced it’s closing for the day this week, though some shoppers can still snatch a last-minute bone.
PETCO CLOSED FOR TURKEY?
The U.S. Sun has confirmed with Petco store associates the chain will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.
The chain operates nearly 1,500 locations nationwide – including 85 in Mexico.
However, a corporate representative told The U.S. Sun that select stores in certain cities will open from 5 pm to 10 pm.
Some Americans might not realize what an emergency a trip to the pet store can be until they run out of litter.

Don’t assume your local store is participating, as associates from Miami and New York stores said they’re staying shut.
But there’s good news for pet owners who don’t have time to stop at the store before the 24-hour closure.
PETCO DELIVERED TO YOUR DOOR
In August, Petco announced a new collaboration with delivery service DoorDash.
The retailer made over 10,000 products available on the third-party platform, including food, treats, beds, bowls, and toys.
Any DashPash subscription holder will qualify for free delivery.
“Combined with new enhancements to the Petco app, we’re continuing to meet the unique needs of pets and pet parents in a way that no one else can,” said Darren MacDonald, chief customer officer at Petco.
As part of this release, Petco announced integrating Klarna’s interest-free payment options within its mobile app.
The app allows shoppers to split up a bill into quarterly payments.
It might come in convenience as the holiday season spreads American finances thin.
For this reason, now’s the time to figure out how to save money on Thanksgiving.
As has happened in recent years, the price of food will continue to rise.
Therefore, plan your meal to be budget-friendly by organizing dishes around coupons, keeping your menu seasonal, and avoiding ingredients you won’t use again.
Most of all, avoid shopping on the Tuesday or Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
Contrary to popular belief, ordering a premade dinner for Thanksgiving doesn’t have to break the bank.
Cracker Barrel and Costco offer an eight person Thanksgiving dinner feast for the same price.
And if your family is small, this person cooked a 2-person Thanksgiving dinner for $10.
