Mars Petcare creates new role to support brand, consumer experience

BRUSSELS — On Oct. 10, Mars, Incorporated announced the appointment of Najoh Tita-Reid to chief brand and experience officer (CBExO) for its pet care division. Tita-Reid will join Mars Petcare effective Nov. 20.

Tita-Reid currently serves as chief marketing officer of Logitech, in which role she is responsible for the company’s global marketing efforts across 120 countries, as well as brand equity, creative, branded and direct-to-consumer e-commerce platforms, and more. She has leadership experience in the technology, health care, pharmaceutical and consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industries, having worked at large corporations like Bayer, Merck, GlobalHue and P&G.

“I’m delighted to welcome Najoh to the team,” said Leonid Sudakov, president of growth, digital and platforms at Mars Petcare. “She is an exceptional marketer and globally recognized leader, known for building strong, diverse and inclusive teams. She will bring her broad and impressive experience across tech, health care and consumer goods to help us scale our impact and accelerate our digital transformation, allowing us to better meet the needs of pet owners and transform the experience of pet ownership.”

In addition to extensive experience, Tita-Reid has been named on Campaign US’s CMO 50 list, Fortune’s list of Top 50 Entrepreneurial CMOs, Yahoo! Finance’s Hero Women’s Role Model list, Women’s Tech Network’s Top 100 Women in Tech to Watch list, and honored with AdWeek’s Brand Genius Award. She also co-founded the Black Executive CMO Alliance, an organization that seeks to provide a space for Black marketing C-Suite executives to share, learn, elevate, and pay it forward in creating more opportunities for the current and future generations of Black marketing leaders.

In the newly created role, Tita-Reid will lead Mars Petcare’s growth plan, developing a more seamless brand and consumer experience across its pet portfolio. According to Mars, the appointment signals its continued focus on digitalization and technology to accelerate its business development, drive growth, and better serve pets and their owners.

“I am thrilled to join Mars Petcare at such a pivotal moment, to help lead the next phase of growth,” Tita-Reid said. “It is a business I have long admired for its inspiring purpose, great people and amazing brands — and it has already proven that incumbents can innovate, transform and grow. I’m looking forward to joining the team to help solve the everyday challenges facing pet owners.”
