ALEXANDRIA, VA. — The North American Renderers Association (NARA) announced Jan. 25 the appointment of Jennifer Wilson to EU-UK representative. Wilson succeeds former representative Bruce Ross, who retired at the end of last year.
In her new role, Wilson will advocate for NARA and its members in the European Union and United Kingdom, where she will support trade policy and commercialization of rendered products abroad. She will also serve as a primary consultant for the association.
Wilson brings 27 years of experience from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) at the US Embassy in London, and most recently served with the US Sustainability Alliance to support sustainability and regenerative agriculture policy initiatives — including those in conservation, water quality, soil erosion, eco-labeling and other areas — for the organization and its 25 association members. She is also the principal at Trade Roots Consulting, which she founded after leaving her government position.
“Jennifer Wilson has earned a stellar reputation for her decades of experience managing a portfolio of complicated policy issues at the US Embassy in London, including co-authoring USDA’s annual European Biofuels Report. NARA is fortunate to have someone so skilled representing our interests in Europe,” said Dana Johnson Downing, senior vice president of international programs at NARA. “I’ve seen Jennie in action numerous times at meetings with government and private sector officials in Brussels, London, and throughout Spain, so I know she will hit the ground running advocating for NARA.”
