Owala HallOwalaween Sale (2023): 25 Percent off FreeSip Water Bottle, Pet Water Bowl, and More

Happy Halloween! Get yourself a trick-free treat from Owala’s HallOwalaween sale, which kicks off now through 2 am Eastern time on November 1. Owala makes my favorite water bottle, and we’ve tested and like other gear from the company. Its entire site is currently 25 percent off. We’ve highlighted some picks below, like the 40-ounce FreeSip water bottle for $29 ($9 off), but you can shop the sale yourself right here.

Those of us on the WIRED Gear team have strong feelings about water bottles—we all have our favorites. I was influenced by TikTok to buy the Owala FreeSip, and I haven’t looked at any of my old bottles since, thanks to its ingenious multifunction lid. The FreeSip has a built-in straw and a chug spout. Neither gets in the way of the other, and both are hidden and leak-free when the top is closed and locked, so you can throw it in your bag without worry. When not in its lock position, the top doubles as a carrying handle. I like the largest 40-ounce size, but there are 19-, 24-, and 32-ounce stainless steel bottles (and a 25-ounce plastic one).

The steel FreeSip keeps water cold all day, and it’s easy to clean, with few nooks and crannies to trap gross debris or chapstick gunk. The colors are also unique—my favorite is the Retro Boardwalk—and Owala has added a few others since I bought mine. (I now own two FreeSips and am still mad I missed the limited edition glow-in-the-dark bottle.)

We haven’t tested Owala’s other bottles, but there is a 40-ounce tumbler for $29 ($9 off) that’s akin to the famous Stanley with its straw and handle, and a handle-free 24-ounce tumbler for $21 ($7 off). The flip-up straw-only bottle has limited stock in steel, but the plastic one is $11 ($4 off). Smaller kids’ versions of most bottles are available too. You can snag bottle boots to protect the bottom from scrapes and dents, and cleaning brushes with replaceable heads, all of which are also on sale.

If your pets need a water bottle bowl, Owala has that covered too. Its steel pet bowl is sturdy with a rubbery base to keep it from sloshing around. The 6-ounce size is discounted to $29 ($9 off) and the 3-cup is $21 ($7 off). My cats would probably drink from my FreeSip if they could, but lucky for me they haven’t mastered straws yet. This bowl is doing them just fine. WIRED reviews editor Julian Chokkattu also uses these bowls for his dog, and they look just as new despite months of use.
