Pet Wants inks franchise agreements in North Carolina, Texas

MATTHEWS, NC, and ROCKPORT, TEXAS — Pet Wants announced it has signed new franchise agreements in Matthews, NC, and Rockport, Texas, significantly expanding the company’s presence throughout the United States.

Pet Wants specializes in fresh, natural pet food made in small batches. The brand offers a variety of formulas, targeting a pet’s individual dietary needs, which are available at Pet Wants locations and can also be shipped directly to consumers.

In Matthews, Robin Walton will be the owner of the new Pet Wants location. Walton’s interest in the franchise started when she came upon the brand’s alternative approach to dog nutrition, which aims to offer affordable fresh, small-batch food to consumers.

“We are incredibly proud to welcome Robin to the Pet Wants family,” said DeNita Carani, brand president. “Her passion for pet nutrition and commitment to the community makes her the perfect fit for our growing franchise network. We look forward to supporting her as she brings the benefits of fresh, healthy pet food to the pets and pet owners of Matthews.”

In Rockport, Andrew Bazner will be the owner of the new Pet Wants retail location.

“We are incredibly proud to welcome Andrew to the Pet Wants family,” Carani said. “His passion for pet nutrition and commitment to the community makes him the perfect fit for our growing franchise network. We look forward to supporting him as he brings the benefits of fresh, healthy pet food to the pets and pet owners of Rockport.”

Since its inception in 2010, Pet Wants has gradually expanded its footprint to include 140 territories throughout the nation. The franchise has plans to reach over 200 locations by 2024 and add 30 new franchise owners by the end of this year. To meet these goals, Pet Wants is currently seeking for opportunities in Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, New Jersey, North and South Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin.

“We will continue to target markets where we need additional distribution or new locations where we would like to introduce our products or services,” Carani said. “We are very proud of our recent momentum as we continue to prioritize our franchisees’ success so we can be sure to grow the right way.”
