NASHVILLE, TENN. — New pet food brand REÁL MESA™ launched on Sept. 6, seeking to change the way dogs experience food. Co-founded by Chef José Andrés, REÁL MESA’s formulas are inspired by Andrés’ food philosophy and traditional Mediterranean meals.
“Pets of America, you deserve delicious meals, too,” Andrés said. “Dogs give us so much love. It is only fair that we give them the best food we can with the quality of ingredients and care we would give anyone in our family.”
With a goal to bring “the No. 1 human diet to pets’ bowls,” REÁL MESA’s pet foods are made with real chicken, wild-caught salmon, brown rice, chickpeas, carrots, figs, kale and a proprietary blend of herbs and spices. Recipes include complete-and-balanced diets — Mediterranean Chicken & Rice Entrée, Wild Caught Salmon Feast and Lamb & Tomato Stew for adult dogs, and Chicken & Vegetable Asado for puppies — as well as treats and toppers.
“As a team of animal lovers, we know how much joy pets can bring,” said Tierney Monaco, chief marketing officer of REÁL MESA. “It’s our mission to bring families (including dogs) together over a delicious meal. We look forward to feeding the relationship with our beloved pets and contributing to endless evenings of laughter, joy and togetherness.”
In addition to supporting dogs, REÁL MESA also strives to support communities in need throughout the globe. The brand will donate a portion of each purchase to World Central Kitchen, a nonprofit that provides fresh meals to those in crisis.
REÁL MESA’s Mediterranean-inspired dog food will be available soon via Chewy and Amazon.
