VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A pet food company in the Wabash Valley is partnering with a local grocery store to support animal shelters in the area.
Saturn Petcare launched its own brand of wet dog food that it donated to Baesler’s in Terre Haute and Sullivan. 100% of the proceeds will go toward the toward the Terre Haute Humane Society and the Humane Society of Sullivan County.
Saturn Petcare’s COO Andy Volkl said seeing the product in local stores is amazing.
“This product is very special for us,” Volkl said. “First of all, the name. The name is RIIO Values and RIIO stands for Respect, Inclusion, Integrity, and Ownership. Those are our company values we have created here with our team locally — and the animals on the product are employees’ animals.”
Volkl also said Saturn Petcare really appreciates Baesler’s in partnering with them to support the humane society.
