Scratches, furry pets and less stress with the NMU Wildpups – The North Wind

The Lydia M. Olsen Library hosted The Northern Michigan University Wildpups on Oct. 5. All the original furry friends were there, including Sal, Hugo, Madison, Ben, Boris, Ramsey, Rosie and Molly putting smiles on students’ faces and relieving everyone’s stress. The room was full of laughter, barks and dog hair as everyone went from dog to dog, getting as many pets and cuddles as possible.

Anna Gemar is Sal’s handler and says these are Sal’s favorite days.

“Students see any of the Wildpups, and they end up melting and kind of just spitting out what’s going on and the stress level comes out and a lot more joy enters their face after they’ve hung out with a dog,” Gemar said.
