PUYALLUP, Wash. — Thieves were caught on camera stealing a puppy from a Puyallup pet store on Saturday.
Store surveillance video shows two men looking at the various open pens of puppies inside Puppyland on Meridian Street. One man then talks to a sales associate while the other reaches into the container and walks out of the store with the dog in his hands.
According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department, the two men even set up an appointment with the store using fake names, emails and phone numbers.
According to the PCSO, the men left in a red Toyota Camry that was described as beat-up and had taped back windows.
The puppy appeared to be a French bulldog, which is listed on Puppyland’s website for $3,995 to $5,495.
