Woof Gang eyes Canada for expansion

MIAMI — Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming shared plans for its continued expansion in Canada. The retail franchise currently has three new stores under development and one set to open in Oakville, Ontario, this December.

The expansion throughout Canada comes on the heels of the franchise’s foray into the country with the opening of a new store in the Greater Toronto area.

“Our accelerated development in Canada is a testament to our belief that every pet deserves to be pampered with love and joy,” said Ricardo Azevedo, chief executive officer of Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming. “We’re excited to open new doors in Oakville and beyond as we remain committed to our mission of being the world’s largest network of neighborhood pet stores that spreads love and joy to the pet communities we serve.”

According to the franchise, this latest expansion will help further its goal of becoming a global pet franchise. Currently, Woof Gang has 200 retail locations open or under development throughout 26 states within the United States, offering pet parents exclusive treats, grooming services and a variety of all-natural pet products.

To foster its plans for expansion in Canada, Woof Gang participated in the Toronto Franchise Show held earlier this month, during which it recruited and connected with aspiring entrepreneurs.
